Puppy Manners
Prerequisites:
Puppies 8 - 20 weeks of age; vet checked and current on vaccinations.
The skills covered in this six-week class will train you how to train your dog to be a better companion.
What the class covers:
Socialization, potty training, crate training, beginning obedience, and general care.
What to bring to class:
First night of class: copy of immunization records. Every week: lots and lots of treats. Puppies will need a collar and a 4-6ft leash (no flexi-leashes)
Good Dog - Obedience 1
Prerequisites:
dogs ages 5 months and up.
What the class covers:
Basic cues for dog behavior, house manners, canine health, not to jump, to walk on leash, to sit, to stand on command, to lie down, to come when called, to become better socialized, to be well behaved around others, bonding games and much more.
What to bring to class:
First night of class: copy of immunization records. Every week: lots and lots of treats. Dogs will need a collar and a 4-6ft leash (no flexi-leashes).
Canine Good Citizen Class
Prerequisites:
Good Dog - Obedience 2 graduation certificate.
The skills covered in this six-week class will prepare you and your dog for the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test and perfect the skills you have learned. This class is a.k.a. "Great Dog - Obedience 3".
If you want your dog to be well behaved and a welcome around others people and dogs, be able to be examined and petted by others while staying quietly (veterinarians, grandma's, judges), stay where you indicate and return to you quickly, quietly walk by your side while in crowds of people, then this is the class for you. If you are considering getting your dog ready for therapy, rescue, service work or just want to stay quietly and politely at a hotel, the Canine Good Citizen is an excellent foundation for dogs that work with or are in public.

What the class covers:
Work all basic behaviors off lead and at a distance, learning with increased distractions, and perfecting of all behaviors needed to earn the American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen certificate. At the end of the class you and your dog will have the opportunity to take the Canine Good Citizen test.
What to bring to class:

Rally Obedience
Prerequisites:
Good Dog - Obedience 2 graduation certificate.
you and your dog for Novice Rally Obedience competition.
What the class covers:
Rally Obedience rules, how to read course maps and signs, a complete Novice and above course in a trial like setting.
What to bring to class:
First night of class: copy of immunization records. Every week: treats. Dogs will need a collar and a 4-6ft leash (no flexi-leashes).
Clicker
Prerequisites:
Club membership; basic obedience or focus and fundamentals skills
The five-week class is holding ring time to help you and your dog improve your partnership with the use of clicker training.
After you receive your class registration confirmation, you will be provided with the instructor contact information to convey your topic and skill needs.
The instructor will contact you with the specific days of the reserved ring time for focusing on your needs. The topic maybe announced to club member after registration for "drop-in" attendance if space is available.
What the class covers:
The class topics will be determined by the participants needs and can be a "drop-in" type class for basic learning of clicker, improvement of skills or repair work for specific tasks.
What to bring to class:
Members Obedience Seminar Series
Prerequisites:
Club membership; Good Dog - Obedience 2 graduation certificate.
This is a new offering of single session, single topic obedience related items. Focus ranges from technique improvement, skill enhancement and problem solving. Members seminars are $25 each and require registration.

What to bring to class:
Good Dog - Obedience 2

Good Dog - Obedience 1 graduation certificate.

Additional basic cues and cues for behavior at a distance, to stay, to heel, to come while distracted, to come from a distance, learning despite distractions, bonding games.

Novice Ready Competition Obedience
Prerequisites:
Club membership; Canine Good Citizen / Great Dog - Obedience 3 graduation certificate.
The skills covered in these six-week classes will prepare you and your dog for Novice Obedience competition

Fine tune your dogs: heel, sit, stay, and down for Obedience Competition.
What to bring to class:
Open & Utility Obedience
Prerequisites:
Club membership; Competing and beyond Novice Ready Obedience or Novice Title
The five-week class is holding ring time to help prepare you and your dog for Obedience competition above the Novice level (Open/Utility, etc.).
After you receive your class registration confirmation, you will be provided with the instructor contact information to convey your topic and skill needs.
The instructor will contact you with the specific days of the reserved ring time for focusing on your competition needs. The topic maybe announced to club member after registration for "drop-in" attendance if space is available.

The class topics will be determined by the participants needs and can be a "drop-in" type class for skills or repair work for specific tasks.
What to bring to class:
Intro Competition Obedience-Beginner Novice/Novice
Prerequisites:
Obedience Level 2 certification
What the class covers:
Class will start with Beginner Novice (BN) skills and move into Novice Class (CD-Companion Dog). Explanation and practice for students at their skill level. Class will prepare you and your dog for entering competitions. Lean about AKC rules, attention exercises, off leash work and many other facets of the obedience competitions. Students must have a solid grounding in basic obedience.
